Our Wolf Strength Project.
Or Why Little Red Riding Hood is Wrong.

There are currently around 1,000 wolves living in Germany. The problem is that there are countless myths about wolves giving them a bad reputation. Many people know wolves only as bloodthirsty predators from fairy tales and stories – quite wrongly! They play an important role in our ecosystems.

After more than 150 years without these wild animals, people first need to learn how to deal with them in the wild again. Through our “Wolf Strength” project, we promote this process and get directly involved on the ground right in the wolf regions. We help the contact office of the Lausitz wolf region to set up and prepare for Wolf Day. Every few years, we travel to Brandenburg and Saxony or even to neighboring Poland for a field trip.

Since 2009, we have been supporting Naturschutzbund Deutschland e. V. (NABU) with the purchase of technical equipment for wolf observation and with the printing of information material, for example as part of the kindergarten campaign “Little Red Riding Hood is Wrong”.
